How we can help

Eight ways we support mental wellbeing

Whether you need someone to talk to, want to strengthen your team’s skills, or are planning an awareness program, we can help.

Individual Counselling

Private, one-to-one sessions with a counsellor to talk through what you are facing.

Stress, grief, worry, low mood, relationship difficulties or a painful experience can feel heavy to carry alone. In individual sessions a counsellor listens without judgement and helps you understand your feelings, build coping skills and find a way forward at your own pace.

Who it’s for: Adults and young people

Group Counselling & Psychosocial Support

Facilitated groups where people with shared experiences support one another.

Group sessions bring together people facing similar challenges. Guided by a trained facilitator, participants learn practical coping skills, share experiences safely and discover that they are not alone.

Who it’s for: Community groups, survivors, students, workers

Family Counselling

Helping families communicate better and support a member who is struggling.

When one person struggles, the whole family feels it. Family sessions create a safe space to talk openly, ease conflict, understand one another and agree on ways to support each other at home.

Who it’s for: Couples, parents and families

Training & Capacity Building

Training on mental health, psychosocial support and counselling for service providers.

We train health workers, school nurses, teachers, community volunteers and staff of local institutions to recognise distress, offer basic psychosocial support and refer people to the right services.

Who it’s for: Health workers, teachers, volunteers, institutions

Awareness & Orientation Programs

Sessions in schools, communities and workplaces that break stigma and encourage help-seeking.

Through orientations, campaigns and events such as World Suicide Prevention Day, we help people understand mental health, recognise warning signs and know where to find support.

Who it’s for: Students, parents, communities, stakeholders

Advocacy

Speaking up for mental health to be part of basic health services for everyone.

Mental health is part of health. We work with local governments and health institutions so that mental health and psychosocial services are recognised, planned and resourced as part of basic health care.

Who it’s for: Local governments, health institutions, policymakers

Referral Services

Connecting people with the right health, mental health, protection and support services.

Some needs go beyond counselling. We build and use referral pathways with hospitals, health posts, protection services and other organisations, so that people reach the care they need.

Who it’s for: Anyone who needs specialised support

Psychological Interventions

Evidence-informed approaches including TRE, Common Threads, THP, CBI and IPT.

We use structured psychological and psychosocial interventions that have been tested in community settings, and adapt them to local language and culture.

Who it’s for: Individuals and groups
